Khloe Kardashian appeared on "Good Morning America" on Wednesday, and the conversation eventually turned to her estranged husband, Lamar Odom.

The former Lakers star was unconscious when he was rushed to a hospital about four months ago, and Kardashian explains how she put everything on hold to be with her estranged husband. She says the situation was very serious when she arrived.

"It was really scary," she said. "When we got to the hospital in Vegas, we were told, you know, 'There's only a few hours to live.' We had to make some medical decisions. There was a lot of challenges, but he's a fighter, and obviously, he's here now and he's out of the hospital. That's a long stay — almost four months in the hospital. But it's a long journey — it will be a long journey — but as long as he's willing to fight it and constantly better himself, then that's all I could ask for."

Odom was released from the hospital earlier this month and on Monday, prosecutors said he won't face drug charges for the incident. Kardashian repeatedly said Odom has a long road ahead, but is hopeful he'll make a full recovery.

"He's doing really well. He's finally out

of the hospital. He's doing great," she said. "But, you know, it's a long journey and it's something that he's working really hard on. Every day is every different. We take every day as it comes. I've learned not to really look into the future too much. I try to live every day as it comes."

Odom has struggled with drug addiction in recent years, and Kardashian was asked "Do you think he'll stay on track?"

"I hope so. I don't know. Again, I cannot look into the future," Kardashian said. "I have planned and planned for years and it never went the way I wanted, so I'm really just doing one day at a time. And I'm happy living that way, one day at a time."
