Suns guard Eric Bledsoe is done for the season after undergoing successful surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee, the team announced Tuesday.
The news about Bledsoe's torn meniscus has been known, but initial reports said he'd be out for only about six weeks. The fact that he's now sidelined for the remainder of the season came as a surprise.

It's unfortunate news for the Suns (12-21) as they are losing a very talented player. Bledsoe, 26, was on a pace to be named an All-Star, averaging 20.4 points and 6.1 assists per game, both team highs. His 2.03 steals per game ranked him seventh in the league.
