Los Angeles Clippers guard J.J. Redick had clear path to the rim on a fast break, but so did Miami Heat forward LeBron James, who stalked Redick's every move from the other side of t

he court. 

So Redick sized up the situation and thought better of challenging James at the rim. He instead pulled up for a midrange shot.

Predictably, Redick's apprehension caused the knock-down shooter to miss a chip shot. James can have that effect. 

After the game, LeBron, who seems to think out every play before it happens, provided some insight into his approach on defense.
