Ian Seau, the nephew of Pro Football Hall of Famer Junior Seau, is on his way to following in his uncle's footsteps.
The Rams have signed the defensive end out of Nevada as an undrafted free agent, Reno, Nev., television station KOLO first reported.

At 6-3, 250 pounds, Seau led the Mountain West with 10 sacks last season and recorded 18.5 tackles for loss. He was also named first team all-conference and is the first player in Nevada history to be named first- or second-team All-Mountain West two years in a row.
Junior Seau was inducted posthumously to the Hall of Fame last year. He committed suicide in May 2012; research on his brain showed signs of chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), which has been linked to concussions related to sports.
